That is the concept for something I was thinking could easily be done thru a carpc only thing is i dont know how to code or interface it.
could left and right turn signals be wired to com or serial inputs to accomplish a similar system.
I think this would revolutionize blind spots etc cameras could be mounted in air dams that are on bmws etc (and my van)

    Any thoughts ?

It could be done. It would need either a software switch to switch between USB cameras, or a hardware switch (by either COM port, parellel, or USB) to a selector box.

    I'm thinking something like....this.

The software would be pretty easy I think.

Anyone wanna help me make that board or show me how to read the schematic...

or have any other ideas on how to accomplish a switcher such as that

could leads be added to that to trigger the input of the turn signals being activated?

If I get time, I'll try to draw up something simple.

I'm just brainstorming here, but I was thinking that if you had a timer that would autmatically return it to the standrard camera, like the back up camera, it would be pretty cool.

The things marked NPN are transistors. The things marked with numbers are resistors. Pretty simple little circuit. You could trigger it automatically with your turn signals and the such, but you would need to limit them down to an appropriate level.
