  • auto-off shutdown

For anyone using the auto-off...where can I can a shutdown app that will work with it? Anyone with links?

I've tried one from APC but it doesn't seem to work.

I have no problems powering up the computer..either by key, switch, remote but it always does a hard shut down and would like to eliminate that.

I think this has been covered before. A search should turn it up.

win nt or win2k or winxp comes with a built in ups system but u can check apc peoples webpage cause the shutdown cards are just unviersal ups systems. www.tucows.com or www.download.com might have something im giong to use the win2k built in stuff.

Tripplite makes there software freely availbel. I dont tihnk APC gives therse away...you gota buy it. ( or comes with ups)

You must fill out a registration form for the tripplite stuff, but it is free.

be sure to choose "generic UPS" or dumb signaling, or "APC-back-ups" for the ups type , these should all be compadible with the shutdown unit.
