    http://www.wown.com/j_helmig/Dosservr.htm

If been following the above to try to achieve a meaning of sharing my HD to the a Winndoze network while using DOS.

I'm stuck right now at error 3659:
To load NetBEUI the NDISHLP.SYS must be listed in the [Network Drivers] section of system.ini.
    Which it is....

I've scratch at ever article in the MS Knowledgebase with out luck...
So does any one have any experience with MS Net Client?

This would be great if it works, DOS with Filesharing!

I got it working,. It doesnt share with win2k(and NT I assume) also it doesnt share by default(i had to get this addon). Oh and its not long filename compatible and its slow as ****.

In short I wasnt happy with it.

I was looking into wat other clients were around but I didnt find any. In the end I've decided to go with a removeable drive in my desktop machine and my mp3car box.

The link you posted was to turn a DOS PC into a server. This link is to use a DOS PC as a client, so this might be a bit quicker. It looks like this also allows you to connect to an NT (so probably 2000 as well) drive from the DOS PC. Since it uses less resources then the server software, thsi might run a bit qucker. Worth a try...

i never had problems with using the dos machine as a client with win2k it was sharing a dos drive that was the problem. My win98 pc would connect with no problem, my win2k pc however had issues. It would see the dos box but i couldnt browse its shares and it wouldnt let me go directly to them.

Vampyre - Was there any thing that you had to do in addition to the steps list at WOWN site?

I don't really have any intentions of using Win2k in the near future, and I kind of need to use it as a server, I just want access to the disk from my Win98 computer in the house..
