I have noticed that the best software out right now for mp3car and cars who do mp3s is that of stump3.

Stump3 will remain the best player for years. http://www.theonline.org/linux/stump3.phtml

Top 10 reasons to use MPXF for DOS -
    1. Boot in under 20 seconds
    2. No scandisk or fsck
    3. Database searchable by artist, song, album
    4. Playlists
    5. Browse Hardrive and Play CD's
    6. Serial and Parallel Display interface
    7. Supports IRMAN remote control
    8. Will run on 486 DX/66+
    9. Multilanguage support
    10. So easy to setup that the most naive newbie could do it.

The only drawback is the lack of a good visualization for those with TFT lcd's and laptop screens...

Hehe, MPXF is pretty cool, for a DOS box... =) Xuma, I guess you haven't looked very hard for the 'best' software. I'm sure different people have a different idea of what is best for them. If you want to look at a Linux player that will blow stump3 out of the water, you can check out my software:
