  • Puppetmaster phone 2 desktop

    Hey all,

I found a neat program to control your desktop with serveral phones.
    puppetmaster
works by bluetooth for the following phones...
    Nokia 6230
    Sony Ericsson phones
    Symbian Series 60 phones
    Java GPRS data phones
    Microsoft Smartphones

I have a Microsoft Smartphone and have to say I'm pretty amazed. Tested it with winamp/roadrunner. works fine. Frodo doesn't work.
Also has a file browser to start programs (link on desktop send ctrl-alt-del).

Has anyone tried this software yet??

Looks cool I'll give it a try...I've seen similar stuff for the Mac called Clicker but never WinXP.

Sounds like a nice way to have a keyboard for GPS typing....give me an idea to write an App!

      Hi there

Tried this once on a laptop, just for the fun.
Worked good with XP SP2īs BT-Stack and a Nokia 6230.

A nice function is the mouse mode which gives you a mousepointer with a cut-out-form a small area surrounding it. (<- not sure if you understand what i mean)

nice find. i've been looking for a series 60 app that controls itunes. i'm currently using nokia wireless presenter with my 6600 but it doesn't display the track info on the phone's screen.

it looks like it's easy to customize to support other programs using vbscript. it would be interesting if we can pull track info from frodoplayer.

Thanks but I'm pretty much sold to Puppetmaster. I actually just registered my copy. This program is awesome. I'm very impressed. Out of the box, it supports iTunes, winamp, mediaplayer, Outlook, Powerpoint which shows slide notes and actual slides on your phone, and mouse mode which works basically like vnc/remote desktop. Works with GPRS too. And can be programmed to work with other apps -- I'll try to create a script for Frodoplayer.

Btw, I'm using a Nokia 6600, generic bluetooth usb dongle from CompUSA (w/ external antenna) with Microsoft drivers. Worked like a charm.

controlfreaks has a special offer of just 1 euro fot its similar program!

              http://mtvoid.com/buy.html

googled to look up info on puppetmaster and found this alternative.

Bemused and nokia wirelesspresenter are also free options.
