  • Vehicle electrical fault finding/ wiring diagrams

Hi ppl, does anyone know if theres any link on ebay to finding electrical guides or software available, which helps you trace electrical problems getting to knw the vehicle wiring diagrams and etc.. Thanks

There are wiring diagrams online. Do a search for "(Your Vehicle) Wiring Diagram" or something to that effect.

Also, maybe if you put your vehicle type in your signature or your profile to the left, people here with the same vehicle can help you.

Right, thanks for that the reason why i asked was because its not only for my vehicle i need one that sort of covers most or every vehicle. I do alot of car wiring, fault tracing and sometimes these guides can be very helpful.

www.mobile-effects.com has a few good links in the weblinks section, under the 'information' section of the link

One site is for wiring security systems, but has all the major car wiring diagrams
Another offers articles for how to install specific vehicle items, like radios and stuff.

        Hope that helps...

Why is this posted in the SoftwareDev forum?

Also, why don't you search on Ebay? Ebay does have a search function....
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

Someone suggested The12Volt. A very good resource for vehicle elctric stuff.

If you let us know what vehicle(s) you're working on, someone may have more detailed information about particular make(s)/model(s).

one of the best investments ive made was buying all the service and parts manuals for my vehicle. it was only $30 for everything compiled on a CD. if you have this available for your car its so helpful to have extensive diagrams of the dash, everything behind it, to know what every single wire I am looking at is for and where it goes, etc.

I've found going to a dealership and asking to look at the techbooks and just make copies of the schematics you need. The books and cds are good also.
