  • Visual C++ first app done How do i use pictures?

    Well, Here is a picture of my new sytem. I will be using this as my shell and be able to launch any of the following. It is alot like cobra but i decided that cobra was just too confusing for me. I will be using it on a 5" LCD so i wanted it be as basic as possible with huge buttons that will be easy to hit going 70 on the freeway. But my question is, does anyone know how to make these buttons out of picutres in visual c++? thanks

    Are you using MFC controls (Like CButton) or are you using straight win32 buttons?

      MFC, i drew the button then used class wizard then added function and edited code for example:

      void CMPXDlg::OnButton1()
      {
      WinExec("C:\\MPX\\winamp\\winamp.exe", SW_MAXIMIZE);
      }

        You probably want to use a CBitmapButton instead. That way you can set a bitmap for each of the button states (pressed, focused, etc...)

        Check http://msdn.microsoft.com/ for how to create this object.
