  • RTSP Open Source or Activex?

I know this isn't really carputer related but some of you guys may know where i can find this. I'm trying to pull a RTSP video stream and save it to a file. I tried VLC and it works fine in there player but for the life of me i cant get the ActiveX to save video.

I need to automate some video capture from IP cameras as they come online. I could run VLC in a command line but there is no way to stop it once you start recording. Since the cameras are constant streaming video.

FYI: im using LabView but examples in VB,VC .NET activeX will help me.

Worst case is i need to figure out how to patch streaming UDP/RTSP h.264 data into images and display them or store them. If i have to build a wrapper in C++,C#,VB i can and import into labview. So a .dll would work too

    Thanks guys.
