  • Can I delay startup of apps at boot?

    I have put all applications that I want to run in <start><all programs><startup>.

    Some of the apps gives me problem and does not start properly if there is no internet connection. Like BlueSoleil Dialer and Spotify.

    I also have a problem with Navigator 7 that timesout before the GPS receiver has started properly.

    I do not want to start theses applications manually so is there a way to delay the startup until all devices are up? I use WinXP.

    Thanks

    http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/road...ime-delay.html

    You can allso use a BAT file with the use of ping...

    like this.
    Code:
    @echo off

    ping -n 10 127.0.0.1>nul

    start " " "C:\<path>\program.exe"
    Probably not the best, but it works flawlessly!

        The nice thing with the ping approach.. one can time things to perfections.
        If the first program uses 3 secs to start, one can ping 3 times, and start the next program in line
