  • Gradually slowing.....

So over about the past 3 months or so, I'ved noticed my carputer getting slower and slower resuming from hibernation.

I havent changed anything but maybe adding 2 or 3 albums to my music files,
But resuming to frodo player has slowed from 20 seconds to about 40 in the last 3 months.

I've tried a defrag, and rebooting, and ending services...

I don't know what else to do, or what is slowing it down that much.

    Help

i would do a clean isntall and make a ghost copy then re-ghost every now and then when it starts to slow.

even though i hate defrag and don't like it, that is what i am going to recommend to you. especially if hibernation is slowing down. you may want to use one from a different manufacture such as PerfectDisk which imo does a better job at it. though, why ur hard drive got fragmented, i don't see unless u did do some uploading/deleting of files.

i don't know if this is possible with frodoplayer, but could you configure your system to use two partitions? one for your OS and another for your frontend and data files? it may minimize the amount of fragmentation on your OS drive keeping hibernation speed up. maybe, maybe not. another possibility is that your drive may be having problems. have you run a chkdisk on it?
