  • resume from hibernbation, bypass user click here?

i set my truckputer to go into hibernation via the p1900. it goes into hibernation fine. but it always brings up the hibernation resume log into windows screen (x programms running, click to resume). how do i bypass this? i though it would be something in the user account control panel, but nada. i searched all through the FAQ and did a search to no avail. please help! if this is in the wrong section, then im sure an administrator will move it for me.

You actually can't change this logo without hacking the ntldr which is a little bit scary and done incorrectly will hose your system. It has been discussed http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/winn...bernation.html

As long as there is only 1 user it should automatically do it, or is this not what you are talking about? You dont want that blue screen with the windows logo and the user name you click to log in correct?

Usually what happens in XP, is when you install SP2 or .NET, there are 2 or 3 more users created that are invisible. You can disable them from logging in, and if you do, you should get the default straight to the desktop...

In addition to what 2k1Toaster said...

Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Advanced tab
Uncheck "Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby" and click OK.

          Also...
          Start > Run > control userpasswords2 > OK
Make certain that "Users must enter a username & password" is checked.
Highlight the user you want to automatically log on.
Unheck the box for "Users must enter a username & password"
          Click APPLY
Enter in the password for the user that was highlighted (if any) and click OK.

Now that particular user will automagically log on and you should not have any log on screens when resuming from hibernation.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?

yes, i want it to go back to windows and not a logon screen when it resumes from hibernation. i did a fresh install of xp home edition sp2 when i installed the truckputer. when i made my account info like every install of xp ive had asks for, it has my (the admin) and in user accounts it has guest (disabled).
