  • Integrating Epia MII drivers with nLite

Is there an app that parses all the info in an INF and copies the files it needs for you? Cause I've done all I could scanning through the INF

with my own two eyes, but I don't know how accurate that is. I know for a fact some drivers I'm integrating don't have to be included for WinXP

but I did it just for safety. If anyone knows which ones I could omit, please let me know. I don't mind using factory WinXP drivers instead of

OEM bloatware (as long as the devices work perfectly).

Here is what I have right now:

    Code:
Volume in drive D is STORED
     Volume Serial Number is 1273-8FD1

When I am finished making this work I am going to make them into a MII_drivers.zip package and host them for everybody (around 5mb).

I gave up on this idea. I ended up getting it to "work" but I deleted the image because there were funny things happening on the system. Device manager showed everything was working perfectly but I didn't find that to be the case. It's much easier just to put all the drivers in /$OEM$ and install them manually.

I blame most of it on the fact that I am never sure if I copied the required files correctly. I would really like a program that emulates Windows adding a device, and moves the required files to a subdir. I haven't come across it yet.

When you extract the WinXP iso, you could add a $OEM$ in the root dir and put anything you want inside it. It's the industry standard I guess. There are a few more tricks like %variables, search and find out.
