use nero and select "burn image" from the file menu

then nero will recognize the files inside and automatically burn it to a CD

yeah thats what i did. btw before i made the ISO i checked the folder to see what i had been left with and the olny files in there were

          I386 (folder)
          boot.bin
          WIN51
          WIN51P
          win51ip.sp2

you do`t need an exe file

i think your problem is your burning methode

Make sure you burn the ISO using Disc-at-once in your burner options, rather than Track-at-once. Because this usually helps resolve bootability issues or file copy errors.

You dont run your nLite XP cd from windows, you set your bios to boot from cd first and install it that way.

and during the installation, you can just choose to reinstall windows, so you don't lose any of the other program data

yeah the problem is no matter how many times ive tried i cant make the CD boot. ive done a one to one copy of my disc and it will boot from the disc no worries but i cant get my nlited one to boot. i looked at the disc in isobuster and it shows the disc is bootable so why wont it boot?

i know its a long shot but anyone got a nlited XP iso they can uplaod somewhere so i can burn it and see what happens?

I had a friend go through a similar situation. The only soultion we can com eup with is that his version of windows is hacked and thats what is possibly causing the cd iso to be made incorrectly. I even went as far as creating a cd for myself right next to his comp doing the exact samething and mine is fine and his is not working.
