  • SDK command request

    Hey CDR

    1. Could you by any chance add a "MENU" button command to the SDK. Like pressing the menu button.

    This way we can use the most important commands in a RR skin and the less important one by invoking the built in menu of FD.

    2. How can I get the address screen to show Greek characters instead of the mixed up characters that it is showing now. Destinator alone shows this screen OK (see photo) but when I use FD the characters are like the top photo.

    3. I tried your new upload but nothings happens with the zoom commands. All other commands are OK. These are the lines that I added to my skin:

    All other SDK commands function OK except from the zoom commands

    These are the lines that I added to my skin

    B01,760,8,78,80,"SENDMSG;FDSDK;zoom||-60","zoom in"
    B02,760,103,78,80,"SENDMSG;FDSDK;zoom||+60","zoom out"

    Attached Files
    The road is long but we are getting there.

    I will add a menu command for you later today, as for the RR command

    B01,760,8,78,80,"SENDMSG;FDSDK;zoom||-60","" I would of thought that will work. Make sure your in 2d or birdseye view, as 3d view doesnt have a zoom function. Let me check after my tea. As for the fonts not displaying right, I know why this is and should have this fixed by the next release :-)

    check back in a bit for a update, just need to grab some tea and put my little lad to bed.

    cheers

        ok m8, i've added a "menu" command to the sdk. I have also done a temp fix to the font problem. Can you let me know if the font problem is fixed with this version of FD?

        http://www.x-digital.addr.com/freedrive/FreeDrive.exe

        just overwrite your present copy of FD with the above one. As for the zoom function, yeah it doesnt seem to be working in RR, but does when you stick it in the sdk example.. I can only assume its a problem with either the || being used or the + - . I will have a play later and get these working for you, it may be in a different format mind you.

        cheers

          Well CDR

          Two down and only one to go

          Both font and menu fixes are A OK.

          Would it be bad on my part if I asked you to implement foreign character support for the OSK. I cannot seem to get the OSK to type Greek characters

          Thanks

            You will need to alter the skin.ini in one of the freedrive skins.. open it up and scroll down to the bottom, you will see a list from k0 to k45, then have a look at the keyboard.jpg in the same folder, each key is changable, so all you would need to do is edit these to suit you. keys 38 to 45 arnt being used in the keyboard skin I've done, but theres nothing stopping you adding more thats why I left them blank :-)

            Cheers

              I have tried editting the keyboard settings in the skin.ini file but all I get is either a "?" or the same english character.

              For example. I tried replacing the S key with Σ and I got the S key again

              I tried replacing the "D" key with the Greek "Δ" and I got a question mark "?"

              Do I have to set the font somewhere or the enter key codes in some special place?
