  • Still having problems with OSK.

    Hey CDR

    Still having problems with the international character support on the OSK.

    Problem 1:
    In order to see Greek characters they must be entered in the skin.ini file. But to type them, a "Ctrl+Shift" sequence must be done on the real keyboard. After that you can see these characters when you type them in the OSK.

    Problem2:
    The problem is, is that while typing the list is not updated. That is if you type the Greek character for "D" then the address list does not scroll to D but stays on the top which in my case is "A".
    I tried this with an English version of the Greek map and everything is perfect.

    Do you have any idea on what I can do to solve these problems?

    Thanks

    P.S How is the update of the zoom buttons coming along ?
    The road is long but we are getting there.

    You would need to place a +^D for the keypress to do a ctrl+alt+d in the skin, so a example line would read;

    k22=100,100,048,048,+^D

    Heres some info for you

    Let me know if doing this also sorts out the other list updating problem.

    Yep fixed the zoom buttons now. I will be releasing a updated version soon, I just want to include updating fonts rather than having to release different versions for different countrys.

    Cheers

      I tried your suggestion but I still get a ? typed in when I type the character that has ^+ in front of it. I tried using the syntax ^+D and ^+Δ but still the same.

      Buy the way. Is the font problem fixed in the current version. Im asking this because I have a copy of FD and cannot get the address list to show the fonts properly.

          Hey CDR

          Do you have any news concerning the problem with updating the address list while using foreign characters in the OSK (Greek) ?

                Can you give this one a go.. I have changed the frm font to unicode, this may help.. if it doesnt then I would like to send you another version.. this is just to locate where the problem is.. but can you give this one a go first.. If it errors on start up, it just means you will need to add a couple of lines to your settings.ini

                add these if it errors on startup to your settings.ini

                #reversestreetname This is used to format the streename label underneth the map, just add the ends if you want the reversing
                #to add more just add them on like reversestreetname=AV,RD,SU,PH etc.. etc..
                reversestreetname=AV

                #reversestreet This will reverse the street names in the list when routing somewhere use as above by adding in extra ones
                reversestreet=AV,RU,CA,PL,PA,PR,R,CO,TR,AG,BA,CR, RI,PO,RI,ES,AU,V,RO,LU,GL,PI,CU,GL,RO,SE,PU,VE

                  Hey CDR

                  This almost worked.

                  1.To get the list to update to the typed letter, I have to type in two letters (Greek) and delete the second. (type "D" "F" and delete the "F") this will then update the list to the letter "D" (I used English characters so they will show up in the post).

                  2. I still get a ? typed in when I type the character that has ^+ in front of it.

                  I think we are almost there.

                  Thanks
