    Very nice! Works great here so far..... (VIA EPIA mobo w/ LinITX LCD). Automatic dimming is working well, so far so good.

      Sweet!

      Do you understand the Jumps and the time interval and their relation in the config?

        Dim up time interval doesn't seem to be working. I set it to 1 and it still fades in just as slow as it fades out.

          The Jump is actually a fraction. The lower the fraction, the more you can see of the "steps". To counteract this, you need to decrease the time interval, and increase the denominator.

            Ah ok, will play around with it. I just figured they affected the steps of brightness settings I could choose......and not necessarilly the "steps" it will go through when dimming......very slick.

              The time interval is the total time for the dimming, right? And not the time interval between steps...?

                  Between the steps. Basically get the difference of the two up and down, divide by the jump (its a fraction, don't forget), and multiply by the interval, and you'll get the number of milliseconds needed.

                    If you put 1/1000, it wil increase the brigness in steps of .001 Brightness units.

                    My settings are:
                    Max = 0.98
                    5/1000
                    5ms

                    Min = 0.873
                    1/1000
                    50ms

                    This allows for a very slow fade down and a smooth but quick fade back up.

                    If I set the brightness to 0.872 or lower, it would mess up the colors (???).

                      K, gotcha. Also, I haven't messed around with skinning yet, but would there be a way to have a button on a skin that could turn the auto dim function on and off? Like if you're playing a DVD at night and want to temporarilly turn off autodim.

                        That would be a good idea. I don't have that yet.
