Would it be possible to modify this app so it runs as a service on the server? I'd like to run it on one of my servers (which is never actually logged in) rather than running it off my desktop.

Also is it possible to implement UNC path compatibility? Right now i have mapped a drive to a unc path which is a work around however, it would be handy to just enter one in or browse to it via network neighborhood.

    Thanks for your time!

Service is possible but I can't give you an idea of when it will be done at this time.

I'm not sure why you need a UNC path. Can you explain? The target directories are local references. So if you set the target directory for a source directory to be c:\music, this is c:\music on the PC you're syncing to (i.e. your car).

Service would probably be useful for others who may not always be logged into their pc for example.

      Regarding the UNC path:

None of my music files exist on my PC they all sit on a file server ie: \\servera\music
Because of the fact (mentioned in another post) that i do not ever log into the console of the server, i cannot run the app on the server (unless the app could run as a service). So this means i have to install the application on a workstation which again has no music on it. So for me to simply enter in the unc path of the remote server as the source directory would be great. To overcome this i had to map \\servera\music to z:\.

      Follow what i'm saying?

Again your app is great blows ms offline files out of the water for the most part.

Thanks for the additional info. I missed your post for some reason.

I'll look into the service option. You should be able to use UNC paths without me changing anything if you edit the ini file directly on the server side, but there is of course no user interface support for it.

            No, sorry.

I don't think I'm going to do that either. It's a lot of work for not a lot of benefit.
