  • please help me choose a phone :S

Ok so now I checked ALL the website and forums for clues
here's the list I must choose from :

    Bell Canada Phone Page

I have 2 years remaning with this compagny and so far no more cell phone (toilett accident) since I am in the process of building my carputer I MUST use phoco and integrate my cell phone ..... afaik the only phone in that list that ~ WOULD work is the nokia 6225 which is in the same series as the 6220 which is reported to work.. of course none of these phones (again afaik) support BT ... so I was thinking serial.....

Can zorro or anyone help me make a smart decision ?? I need to do this fast.. or I will go see a competitor and make them cut me a kickass deal because I switch over but the contract break is like 150 usd.... I need to be strategic... if another compagny offers me the same plan I have now AND a free phone that is phoco compatible for switching over then there is no question I will go with them because buying a new phone from bell canada they give me 150 cad rebate IF i renew 3 more years of contract....

Your link doesnt load up right...

Doesnt giveme a list of phones... Better to just list the ones you like...

do they offer a t610? or other SE phone with BT? these have the best support!

the link works fine (just re-checked) among all the other cellphone compagnies here the only one with a hint of a phone that will work is the SE T637 priced at 140 cad with a 3 years contract :S all the others have no phone that are likely to be compatible
      they also have the
      Sony Ericsson Z500a
      AND
      Sony Ericsson T237

but that all means switching phone compagny and paying 200 cad in contract break fees !

The site probably uses cookies so it will only work for you! It redirects me to the Bell Canada Home Page...

I suppose it is GSM you're looking at, so why not buy an unlocked phone and dont need to renew your contract? Probably a bit more expensive than buying from Bell(and being forced to renew due to the disctount), but you can get the phone U want, not the one THEY want...

check www.howardforums.com in the marketplace forum you will see severaql sellers, many from canada so u could even pickup the phone!

Jeez... Really? I thought only Verizon was holding on to that.... oh well... no GSM in your area??? Maybe there is a good service provider... maybe bell will be rolling GSM and might have it in your area? (AT&T & Cingular both did this prior to their mergers... they both wnet from TDMA to GSM - it is albeit easier than from CDMA to GSM but who knows...)

actually there ARE gsm providers.. but costs of switching and plans of competition aren't worth it so far (been at this for 3 hours straight.. head cracker)

It the Nokia 6225 was compatible (the 6220 IS) i would go for that immediately !!!

                I need closure !

actually the clone data cable my phone compagny sold me seems to be buggy with everything but notebook synchronization...

I will order a nokia one and try again.. I manually tested with winterm the phone and got manufacturer id....

but phoco does not connect to the phone
