  • What does everyone do with Nokia phones or 1 BT connection phones to make calls?

I'm just trying to get a little consensus on how you all handle this. I was very dissapointed to learn that my 6230 is a 1 connection BT phone. I looked forward to using phoco in my car to control my phone and have total hands free operation. So, i'm wondering, what does everyone do with these such phones? Do you BT connect to phoco and just pick up the phone and talk on it? Do you have some other handsfree device?
Its not the cards you're dealt, its how you play the hand!

I havent got mine setup yet, but ive done some preliminary testing with my 6600, and i think a car kit would work quite well.

Obviously BT headset as well as BT control via carpc would be perfect, but this isnt a perfect world

Yeah, the problem is, you would need the whole kit, cradle and all, otherwise having to plug in a cord could get annoying. Also, last I checked the kits are expensive.

Well yes, but not having another wireless alternative, I cant see many other alternatives.

You seen the sticky thread at top yet about a new option for 1 connection BT phones? I just saw it today for the first time. Apparently PHoco can now disconnect one BT connection to answer the call as a headset and then reconnect after when you push a button. . . . INteresting.

I've been testing using a USB cable with my Motorola V551 so I can use my BT headset. If I can get things working the way I need them to (I'm trying to work around the RR/PhoCo send tones after connect issue so you can control your voice mail), then I'll pick up a cradle that is intended for a carkit and rewire my USB cable into it. The good thing is that the cradle will put the phone in a good reception position and also charge the phone.

I may try the BT disconnect option and see how it works. It *would* be nice to only plug in the phone if my battery is low, although I really don't think using the cradle will be too much of a pain.

No matter how I installt he drivers, patched or not, it doesnt work. With the drivers that came with my dongle, I can get it to work once. After a minute or so it disconnects and wont work anymore. As of right now with the patched drivers it just wont work. I got the liscense error thist time, though, and that was a first.
