  • How is everyone using PhoneControl?

I have never actually installed PhoCo in my working carputer but it is on my test system which will be going into my truck shortly..

I love how it pauses the song and asks you if you want to accept or ignore when calls come in..

The question I have is how are people using it to communicate? Do you have the phone call come through the car speakers and use a wired MIC to talk? Do you have a BT headset and put that on when you get a call and hear and talk through that?

    What is the best way?

23 views and no replies? Does that mean no one who read this thread is using PhoCo? I know it's a dumb question but humor me!

        Hi,

I use phoco integrated into RoadRunner and connected via Bluetooth to my SonyEricsson K600i, since that phone is capable with many Bluetooth connections, also I connect the phone to an external headset Parrot CK3000.

kocke, so you keep your headset on at all times? With me.. I only have my bluetooth headset on when I'm making calls.. I don't like to wear it just incase a call comes in..

            Hi,

            I'm sorry, Parrot isn't a headset, it's a hand's free car kit, it's allways on.

            Sorry for my english

            regards

Could you explain how you have this setup? So, you have PhoCo running on your carputer via bluetooth usb on carputer connected to serial usb on phone.. When a call comes in PhoCo notifies you of a call.. Do you click on accept in the software or do you accept the call through your Parrot device? The sound goes through your car speakers right but not intefaced through the computer just through the Parrot device?

                Thanks!

I've got a moto e815, and i really dont use phoco at all. Phoco notifies me of a call and the sound gets muted then i just let my headset take the call from there. I dunno if its hardware limited or me limited but i cant get phoco to use my speakers/mic OR transfer the call to my headset directly.

                    Hi,

I can accept the call with the phoco at the PC, and also I can accept the call directly by the Parrot, in both I can see the caller at the PC display. To make a call I use Phoco, because of the easiest use of the phonebook and the keypad. Also I can use parrot directly, but using voice command and only if the name of the caller is predefined with a voice prompt.

The voice goes directly to the car speakers by interfacing the Parrot with the audio system.

                    Regards

Problem.. I have my carputer setup as my handsfree device on my cell phone (MPX220) via audio gateway. I can hear the caller clearly through my car speakers but they can't hear me at all. It's not a mic problem because I can bring up "Sound Recorder" in Windows and record my voice just fine.. Any ideas?
