  • Iphone tethering keeps getting disabled

    Hi,

Iphone tethering via USB just really works like a charm. Just connect the Iphone via usb and internet is available without having to dial or start any tools manually. My Iphone carkit is hooked up via USB so this is the perfect way.

There is just one problem left. When I'm having a call for more than about 2 minutes, the tethering function gets disabled. In that case I have to manually switch tethering back on. Is there some kind of way that this tethering option will not be disabled during a call?

I have found an easier way, whic is called SBSettings. With this tool you can quickly enable/disable tethering, but also 3g/wifi/bluetooth etc. This helps me prevending from going through all the menus, but I just don't like it to enable it manually after a call.

    Anyone?

So I assume no one has this problem or no one has a solution?

I believe if you search through Cydia or Rock (or whatever program you use) there is a "program" that will automatically re-enable tethering for you. I just don't remember what it's called... Have you asked around on the iPhone sites/chat rooms?

mywi? It does enable tethering control and more, but I'm not sure it's going to solve your issue. There's a trial, so you can test it, which is great (cydia apps don't allow trials, AFAIK).

Actually, some Cydia apps have a built in trial. Then they make you go into Safari and buy them. But most of then are

I searched through Cydia but couldn't find any tool like it, to automatically re-enable tethering after a call. Guess I'll be ok with SBsettings

Yeah I used to have that problem but I havnt had it lately. Theres an app in the Rock store that will make your iphone a router and help with the USB tethering. I dont think its cheap but if its what you need you may have to pay for it.

What Im trying to do now is get my tethering to work with Bluetooth. Im using XP and just cant figure out how to get the computer to use it as a modem. If anyone has an idea that would be great.
