  • Wireless newb...needs help

First off, I am a total newb when it comes to wireless networks. I have no idea what the best route would be.

    A) High power wireless card? Which one?
    B) Any wireless card and an amp?
    C) A high power wireless card and an amp?

What would the advantages of having one over the other? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Have had good luck with the d-link brand of wireless products. Have used both pci and pcmcia 802.11b cards with good luck. The d-link wireless routers are easy to setup so you can connect when at home. You'd be surprised how many open wireless networks there are around. If you're gonna do it, you might as well go with the 802.11g cards. The are a lot faster.
