I believe that CDMA support is totally dropped in PhoneControl.NET.

A quote from the PhoneControl site:

    The quote dates from 10/10/2004

"From this day on, PhoneControl.NET officially doesn't support mobile phones based on the CDMA standard.
This is because this standard lacks in supporting what is called a "internal modem" (which by it's means is a bit more then only connecting to the Internet).

If you have a CDMA phone, don't waste your time trying - it won't work."

Here is the link: Important! Read this.

So I wanted to hook up PhoneControl.net through Centrafuse with my v710. Is this a complete lost cause? What are my other options as far as getting bluetooth to be integrated within Centrafuse??

buy a different cell phone.. which at this point would require a different phone plan (assuming ur 710 is from verizon).

This is not an option for me. I love Verizon and have it for work as well. It just looks like im SOL having a CDMA phone and trying to use Phonecontrol.

if there's anyone out there who has hacked the v710 to unlock the bluetooth profiles needed to run this software you would find them on howardforums.com. Personally i dont believe the profiles have ever been unlocked and if so i'm sure you would sacrifice some of your verizon features ie. *228

i've got the e815 (just got it last night), and plan on getting this to work with phoco, no matter what it takes. The e815 is basically the same phone as the v710.....just nicer. Anyway sonicxtacy02 is right, i found people on howardforums who claim to have gotten everything working. There is a seem update on http://www.inetron.com/index.php?opt...electcat&cat=1
and a bunch of files that i plan on using later. First i need my damn datacable, and escalade182 has it right now and hes 150 miles away.

lemme know what you think of that e815 peoples. I was looking forward to the 710 and found it to be kinda a dissapointment when it was released.

Does this mean you've used phoncontrol.net with a v710? I'm just confirming because if it does, I'll probably go ahead and get a v710. I have a different phone at the moment but would switch if I knew someone had actually done it before.

is this a bad time to ask it if it would work for my Samsung i730?

you need the firmware update, i hear verizon will do it for you, i did it myself. yes i've gotten it to work. it's not an ideal setup with phonecontrol, the quality isn't that good. there's an echo that won't go away, i don't know if it's phoco or the bluetooth connection. i haven't used phoco with it that much, i have the hs850 earpiece, and that works beautifully, i just pick up the phone to see who's calling. phoco is good in theory, and i'm sure many users here have had good results, but the v710 and phoco isn't a quality solution. i haven't tried the treo 650 from verizon, or the new e815, but the v710 isn't up to par with my anal perfectionist ways.
