  • Just got my UMTS card

I just got a UMTS card through Cingular and WOW, this thing is fast!. I did a couple of bandwidth tests and one test had me at 1010kbps download and another test gave me 66kbps upload. Not bad considering I was hovering between 1 and 2 bars of service.

Now I just need to find all the cool carputer stuff for people with wireless connections.

ya, I used 80mb last night just listening to streaming music, and yes, I went with the Sierra Wirless 860. With the 860, it looks like I can eventually add larger antenna if needed

a higher db antenna would be nice, but I have VERY dark tint in my car and that often causes problems with reception (especially with my V1) so I'd like to somehow hook up an external antenna. For now though, I'm getting a pretty good signal.
