There are currently two working prototypes of the XCore Keyboard PC. This pc is will have a retail cost of $100. Xcore agreed to open the prototype up for mp3Car right on the CES 2010 Showfloor. You can see that a ribbon cable connects the keyboard to the circuit board. A metal plate acts as an EFI shielding as well as taking the heat form the chips and moving it to the exterior of the keyboard which allows the PC to be fan-less and decreases power consumption. The computer is exposed and the processor is visible. The computer module is easily accessible and swap-able, so that the pc can be easily upgraded, leaving the rest in place. An internal usb port holds the wifi, a connector for the SATA hard drive, and a connector for your 3G, GSM or CDMA card.
