You should be able to load the individual .VOB files into it or into WMP. I may be totally wrong, but it's worth a shot to see what codecs get loaded into the graph. You can then right-click on each one and hit Properties. Some have adjustments. Like the AC3 one can be bypassed for wave/mp3 and they won't mess with the volume. Some other codecs are just poorly written and need to be removed/replaced.

This doesn't seem wrong to me?
-
Oh that's odd. Mine goes through an MPEG splitter first, then to the MPEG decoder and AC3 decoder. I guess yours goes directly to the sound card from the DVD player or something?
-
Well, actually I don't know. I thought intervideos windvd codec did everything? I'm just useing the built in soundcard in my m10000.

I guess the audio is somewhere else. This is what usually see. The audio gets split and sent to this stupid AC3 filter:

aha, okay. But frodo said he uses the windvd codec just as i do, and that it works well. So it must be this "elcard mpeg2 demultiplxer", otherwise i have no clue :s What is the demultiplexer anyway?
-
The demultiplexer splits the audio and video chunks from the MPEG2 stream. That Elecard one works good for me, but it may be a newer version or something. The ACE mega codecs pack is always a good thing to have. You can install and uninstall different ones to find out which works best.

I allready have the ACE mega codec pack. I'll try to get in touch with frodo (since he does't seem to read this thread ;) ) and ask his what version he recommends...
-
Well, i havent talked to frodo, since it feels kinda stupid to send a pm. I'm quite sure hi has read all posts in this thread since its about his own software :P
Tough, i have found a workaround.
The problem i have is that i keep my front and rear channel volyme att a constant value (50%) and then i adjust the volume with the wave control. When i start windvd it puts the front channel sound to 100%, and that is quite disturbing. I found out that windvd doesnt really put the volume at 100%. It just resumes the last used volume. (yes, it took me a few months to realise that :tard: )
So, just start Windvd and adjust it to the wanted volume and shut it down. That means it will adjust the volume to the allready set ?amount? at FrodoDVD start.
(****, i feel kinda retarded at the moment. It really took me that long time to come up with that thougt? :barf: )

Heh. Well, it's better to just adjust the master volume anyway. Wave is a percentage of master and media player/winamp is a percentage of wave, so I set everything (wave, CD, line-in, players, etc.) at a level that sounds about the same and control master to adjust the volume of everything at once. Although nothing should really mess with the wave volume automatically. That's just bad programming. That reminds me of that MIDI plugin for Netscape that would do that with the MIDI volume. Ack!
