whatever codec you are using doesn't have it's own internal volume control.
As it says. When you play mp3:s or videos in "media mode" at any volyme, and then start frodo dvd volyme instantly reaches 100%, whitch isnt especially good =P. it returns to whatever it was before when you exit frodo dvd though.
I've read about this somewhere else, and i think you know about it but since ied and couldent find anything about what was done aboutit i thought it would be best to report it... Better report too many times than too few

Are you using the master volume or WAVE VOlume?

Mater on my home computer (where this accured)
Useing wave in my car, but haven't tested this there yet...
I used to have an AC3 codec (AC3Filter) that would mess with the volume. I don't know if you can get ahold of GraphEdit without the full DirectX SDK but just dragging a video into it will show everything that gets loaded including the codecs. That's the easiest way to find out what's going on.
I've downloaded the dx sdk (dxsdk_dec2004.exe) from Micro$ofts website... Can't find "GraphEdit" tool?
It should be C:\DXSDK\bin\DXUtils\graphedit.exe
Or easier, just get this: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=GraphEdit
But the problem accures even when not playing a movie. Just opening the program causes the volume to rise.
And graphedit doesn't seem to be albe to handle dvd movies?
