    ey yo!

in PS when you create a new layer it should auto open the layer properties to name the layer. Depens on how you create the new layer though. If you shift drag to copy a layer or copy and paste layers it wont ask you to name the layer.
For some reason now i cant find the post where you asked this question, but i know i just read it. If you didnt ask, just ignore all this.

anyway, skin is coming along nicely. For the shutdown menu, it would be cool if you did it like windows does when it shows the menu. Make everything in the background greyscale or blur it and leave the actual shutdown window full color.
I would use an adjustment layer to do this so you dont change the background permanently in PS.

For the GPS screen, there isnt any skin options so dont have to worry about that screen. Just put a button somewhere to open the GPS on the either the player screen, or menu screen or both.
To skin the other sections that you cant open becasuse of no supported hardware (radio etc) its tricky to say the least. When i did my skin i had to basicly do it blind and hope it was what i wanted. I had to send the skin to some beta testers to take screen shots so i can see if what i was doing was what i wanted.

I can possibly help you out with any other screens you cant open, just let me know.

cool so i dont have to do gps. I can get to the XM skin I just cant get to the FM skin so I'll just have to do the FM skin blind or beta tested. Oh do I have to have a "go back to menu skin" button or anything on the GPS Skin?

@Frontera im not sure as to when the whole skin will be finished? I dont want to give an aproximate date cause I'm not even sure. I work like 12 hours a day 6 days a week so I only have about 30mins a day to work on this skin. Can you help with the XM and FM Skin?

Yeah I did ask this. Even if I open a new layer, thru the menus, it still doesn't ask me to name it(Layer properties thing)

I really like it, but I use roadrunner so either myself or someone else would have to port it over

I noticed no one replied to your question about changing the date format. Did you try to go to Control Panel->Regional and Language Options->Customize->Date[tab at top]->Short Date Format ? If so, I don't know what else to tell you.

very nice but this is NOT touchscreen friendly.
Buttons need to be at least 8 ~ 10 percent width.
    But I like the idea...
