Yep.. I'm having exactly the same behavior, but I'm still using the .31 version

Btw, CdRsKuLL, while you don't have your own sub-forum, could you create a post were you would announce the latest versions? I keep missing the new versions posts

I have installed this on my PC ar work, and at home and had no such problems.


The only thing I can suggest (seeing as you all seem to be from countries with a language other than English as your first) that it could be something to do with your language settings or fonts.

those that are having the error, can you let me know what OS your running please, and if you have installed any VB runtime files ? Also did you reboot if it asked you to after install.. need to narrow this problem down. I just installed on the wifes laptop (running xp) it did complain about a missing comctl32.ocx but after I dropped that in the freedrive folder everything works well.

Hi,

i am using windows XP SP1, have VB runtime 6.0 installed. As i remember, i wasn´t asked to do a reboot after installing FreeDrive.

But.. the fonts on the screen are a little more weird than skodas. See attached picture:

Could it be some kind of meaurement setting.

like imperial and metric within the regional settings?

I'm Using XP Sp1. It’s a "normal" install. It's on my desktop, so, I don’t have a gps mouse attached. My language is Portuguese and so are the regional settings.
Remember I'm still using the .31 version
When I installed it asked and I allowed to install the VB runtime
I run both freedrive and mapmonkey before I reboot.

Since I realized that the error 13 was somehow skin related, I find out that:

In the DefaultTouch skin, where it reads "map=1.8,2.5,79,94" it I replace with "map=2,2,79,94" , the map show up almost in the right position. I think it was positioning the map in 8.2 – 5.79 instead of 1.8 – 2.5


On the default skin, in the line that reads:
“sats=93,.5,8,5,2,Arial,14,16777215,14980463”
I just changed the .5 to 1 and the error 13 disappeared.

So I guess is some confusion between the decimal point and the comma. My machine settings are like in the pic.

I wonder if this error is to do with language (as mentioned by enforcer), and the chr's in the skins behaving different. All the peeps reporting errors seem to be from non english countrys. I maygive it a go in the morning

ok, I will release a update tomorrow which will solve this problem. I will split the skin info up into seperate lines, which will solve any problems ie..

map=1.8,2.5,79,94 will become

mapleft = 1.8
maptop = 2.5
mapwidth = 79
mapheight = 94

The other way I could do it is by getting rid of the point by x 100 each value.. so

map=1.8,2.5,79,94 would be 018,025,790,940 unsure if this would complicate things for skinners. Either way would work
