Release - FreeDrive 0.4 beta (D3 Frontend)

ok been playing with this version all day, seems stable and bug free..

New in this release -
- Improved code for Speed, Sat, Heading reading
- Fixed overflow error on streets
- Fixed showing wrong streets for city
- Converted Heading into words ie NORTH EAST
- Added menu auto-off
- Keyboard is now skinable
- Address page now skinable
- History / Fav page now skinable
- Installer now has UK voice rather then US
- Added menu down button on mainpage
- updated other bugs and bits and bobs

Please let me know if you find any bugs or have any ideas on how it can be improved.

Great looking skin! Just a couple of things though. Sorry if I'm being dim.

Is it possible to pan round the map without the menu popping up?
Can the address bar be slimmed down so it does not partialy obscure the minus and height buttons?

Hi, depending which skin you use.. depends if it uses the 'touchmenu' or not. To 'pan' round as you say, just swap to the other skin.. tap for the menu, then next , settings , skin then swap to the default skin. :-)

As for the menu buttons being cut of.. yep thats my afault. I will update the file today which will fix this .

Download 'this' and unzip it and overwrite the all folder which is at
C:\DestinatorApps\Destinator\Common\Interface\Visu al

that will fix the zoom bar problem.

Can it be embedded into FrodoPlayer ? How ? There's a launcher for MapMonkey. I think something similiar would be needed for FreeDrive also.

I just made you a wrapper.

This is how it works.
Take these files, put them in your freedrive directory.
Verify in FDWrapper.ini that the path to FreeDrive.exe is correct.

In the FrodoPlayer directory, open FrodoPlayer.ini.
At the bottom under [GPSDEFAULTPATHS],
change the DEST3 line to equal:

DEST3=C:\Program Files\FreeDrive\FDWrapper.exe
(or wherever it is)

Then in FrodoPlayer settings 2, choose the Ninja Monkey option.
Make sure "Use External GPS Application" is NOT checked.

You're good to go.
