Basically it is sending a "corrected" lat/lon to the SDK (maybe a different command), this corrected lat/lon is the coordinated for the car snapped onto a street... it makes it easier for us to plot the coordinates when using mapquest or whatever since it will snap to street like destinator does... that thread explains it all better

hmm corrected lat/long.. FreeDrive already does this :-) I take the Lat/Long from the current posisiton on the map, not the lat/long given out by the gps sensor.. I think this is what your on about.. This way, if your saving a speedcam point (coming soon) you wont stick it in the middle of a field

Did you check out the reversing street name ? Is it what you wanted ? If you have added any letters to the settings.ini can you post them so I can add them to the installer for the next version.

I need to adapt my skin for use with FD now that you have sdk support...

I was kinda holding off for the speedcams but I think I'll be uber-careful with them traps! eheheh

Apols.. pennys droped.. sorry m8 I know what I have done. I was playing wih my flash skin, and to get the variable to flash I had to change the line FD gives out, I replaced the ! with the word CUSTOM .. This was to get info to show in my flashskin.. which I havent managed to do yet. I will change it back for version 0.53 for you.. sorry again

Hey CDR, I know I have many requests.... but I'm trying to make FD as flexible as possible!

I saw once when I used CF that there was a display for the current street number that you are currently in front of.... Basically as you go through a street it would update a different label, say HouseNumber with the current house number.

would it be possible to have something like that?

And also, a small question, what is the command for getting a label into RR from FD?

Hi RoyN, FreeDrive already provides the current house / road / zipcode on where you are from the Street label under the map. It only provides a house number if it knows them. These are all available by using the sdk to read them. To add say the current position to RR, so it can be displayed on any screen.. simply do the following.

open sdk.ini in the freedrive folder
change FDROAD= to FDROAD=RoadRunner

Then in a RoadRunner skin add a label like
L01,270,235,300,030,255,255,255,18,"Arial Narrow:B","!FDROAD",""

When FreeDrive is now running it will update this label every second.

Cool, do you have a more up to date list of the SDK functions and labels?

I noticed that menu wasnt in the readme in the download but worked like a charm... is zoom+/- already there?
