Ok.. built a new installer for it, it installs everything all you need are the maps and a sdk, either the cracked version from ages ago, or a brand new one which you can buy from powerloc.. thats if they have sussed out what the hell there doing there !

Well...

In address mode, the swedish letters ÅÄÖ are displayed as some odd characters (greek capital letter phi).

In settings, metric / imperial minimizes FD, hide/show first hides FD then shows it 1 second later, GPS settings minimizes FD.

oh, and leaving the second menu (touch skin, switch/settings/exit) to time out (should disappear) also minimizes FD.

I cant check the address mode here, but I would of thought its to do with the font. I have checked the metric/imperial and hide/show and GPS and they seem to work fine.. Will have a check. The Address list box uses Arial font which I thought was standard.. maybe not. If you want to add ÅÄÖ to the keyboard I have left afew free keys, have a look in skin folder

I just re-checked old 0.4 and ÅÄÖ is there and metric/imperial works fine as does the second menu time out... so something have changed from 0.4 >> 0.5.

There are no changes between the text part in the skin.ini file from 0.4 to 0.5

[EDIT] Yes, you should able to do it... just use the scandinavia map, go for street, type "V" and then paste an "ä" and you'll see what I'm on about.
Come to think about it, you don't even need the scandinavia map, just paste and å ä or ö in the textbox and you'll see the same thing. [/EDIT]

ok can you try this to see if it sorts out all the problems you mentioned please, just overwrite the freedrive.exe with the one below
