theres no reason why it shouldnt work.. its only a simple com port connection. Just check your baud rate and port number.. I havent changed a single thing with the com port for ages.. dont know what else to suggest m8.

Hey CDR,
I got all the Commands working from your help in the PM and I found the information in your forums just before you PMED me.

Here are a few bugs that I think I have found.

These codes are not updating in the zots skin update that I am using or in your FreeDrive skin.

When I set a Route and begin to travel to the Destination, here is what never updates:

1) L,420,255,160,14,255,255,255,14,"Tahoma:B","=Total Left:",
L,420,274,100,30,0,0,0,20,"Tahoma:B","CUSTOMFDDIST ",""

Never changes on my systems.

2) L,365,310,45,14,255,255,255,14,"Tahoma:B","=ETR:",
L,410,310,260,14,0,0,0,14,"Tahoma:B","CUSTOMFDETR" ,

This FDETR also never changes on my system, which could be due to the FDDIST never updating. Hope you can fix this for us. Other than this, it looks awesome.

nar u didnt I talk to mp3car loads on msn, so confirmed to him that I noticed the eta not updating :-) I will be fixing this and any other bugs in the version with a release of a exe update in the next day or so..

You dont need one, just goto FD's website download the uk speedcam file and start fd up, menu.. next.. settings.. import speedcam Done ;-p

Tested 0.8 in my car. Good job very usefull but i have some questions :

A Sirf Version ? MMonkey is much more precise with Sirf than NMEA : Speed is very stable with a regulator. IN NMEA version (Freedrive or MMonkey) speed goes always from 91 to 93 and voice indications are sometimes displayed to late.

If I want insert new POI in destinator, they are implemented in Favoris (IE BMW Stations) We don't have access to them in FreeDrive : Only My Favs !
Idem for speed alert settings (distances for alerts)

Generaly, no access to majority of destinator settings. Freedrive is the best in the car but needs Mapmonkey to ajust majority of settings : alerts (install disconnect voice alerts), look and feel (for french language), General param (Km) an so on. Any idea to be able to desinstall MM ?

OSK : on first line, i get : & é " ' ( - è _ ç à Very good for french names but no access to numbers. I tried to change Skin.ini but reactions are ugly.

I also don't understand what mean Speedcam : 28 at home ? Speedcam within a certain distance ?

I don't want to use a TSK. Any possibility to affect keymap to your commands ?

I Use a powermate knob to control mediacruiser as a simplified BMW Idrive. Actions just as :
left rotation = left arrow ==>previous Icon
Right rotation = right arrow ==> next icon
Click = return ==> select action
could be very nice while driving.
