    Speed Limit

    1. Is there any way to change the speed limit from within FD.
The sweet lady keep on reminding me that I am over the speed limit but I'm only going 60 KM/h. I don,t want to turn the option to OFF but I would like to increase it.

    2. Is there any way to set speed limits for different areas (populated, schools. e.t.c) ?

    Any info would be great
The road is long but we are getting there.

I assume in MM you can set a warning speed which is what your on about, tolisn is on about the speed that held by d3 for each seperate road.

    oh cool......

so D3 and FD pulls the speed limit based on the road from the maps eh ??

nice feature, I never noticed on the PPC version. I will have to check it out, that would be benificial.

So what your saying is that each road on the map has a warning speed set into the map data and that D3 sees that data and issues a warning if that speed is passed ? If that is the case then I'm travelling on a road with a sign that has 80KM/h as the max speed limit but D3 warns me that the max limit is 50KM/h.

It's probably based on type of road.

for the UK, (us will have different classifications)

    selection

    Motorways 70mph
    Dual Carriageways 60Mph

Single lane roads in the country 50Mph

    Single built up areas 30Mph

dual in built up areas 40Mph

that is just a selection, however sometime the authorities decide to have different limits (in our case usually lower) and I don't think the maps will cater for all those 'personal' ones.
