FD to go open source ?

I wish someone can develop it further, if CDR decides to stop it and gives the open source

Maximus, I think the latest alpha has something in the area of speed sensitive speed cams! I got it installed just wasnt able to test it just yet....

Steve has done a great job so far with Freedrive, and it would no doubt develope faster as an opensource project provided that there are people which are interested in developing it, or including it in their code, which Im sure there is. Is there a chance that CDR's work could be pimped and turn commercial?!? That just wouldn't be cricket!

But come on those of us who have badgered him for updates

FFS the guys just had his second child arrive, he MUST have better things to do with his time than sit there coding for us. Im sure he enjoys coding but I can understand that his life is now twice as busy

Stick with it though Steve, even if you do release the code

Don't let skinning take over whats left of your free time

Freedrive rocks and I will continue using and testing it.

Although open source would definately allow for *more* updates, I'm not sure if those updates would be in the same style and quality as what YOU have done CDR...

Either way, thanks for the work! I like FD a tonne as is so I'm not super anxious for updates
