FD to go open source ?

Personally i would love to see FreeDrive going open source. It would give us with some coding experience an opportunity to open up its works and fix up those bugs and features that often CDRSkull doesnt get time to do himself. Obviously it would be distributed under the GPL licensing scheme to keep it open source and stop commercial exploitation.

Just my 2 pence ( i am british after all)

You are aware that only the frontend (FD) will be editable in vb6, the source for the mapping engine will still be closed as it belongs to a company called PowerLOC

Yes I know that only frontend is open source and it use destinator sdk, and other gps software ike Garonav o MapMonker are frontend too but we can't use source becuse developer don't realease it. I think is a good idea realease source code of Freedrive, many people can work on it
