As long as you dont abandon development, i guess only good things can come to it!

Any ideas for putting a PC in this? :)
if it does go open source i hope you will still carry on developing, as i like your style and ideas.
Exactly, the problem with it being oopen source is that it is more likely you would abandon development... you have made FD what it is and I doubt that it will progress as much if you were to pull out.
Nonetheless, the way that RR is, with guino as an active main developer is very good IMHO. Some developers (albeit very few) have been colaborating (suh as hematec doing phoco part) which have only made RR better.

I am afraid that FD is over....
Many things could be better with FD.
But of course, CDR, if you decided to leave it, to stop it, the only thing we can tell you is "Thank you".
I wish someone can develop it further, if CDR decides to stop it and gives the open source...

You shouldn't have a guilty conscience just because a bunch of people are whining about the lack of updates, so if that's the case then don't release it.Originally Posted by CdRsKuLL

Then I can have a crack at heading sensitive speedcams, assuming that:
1. You haven't done that allready.
2. I'm included in the group of "thoses that maybe able to help the project along abit".
Oh... babisbabis, shut up will ya, no one said anything about anything beeing dead.
Funny though, "babis" means baby/infant where I live... but then again, that's kinda obvious from all your crying![]()

Beeing a bit of an retard (given my Greek name that is) I cant say that I do understand how things like
"That was it", "I am afraid that FD is over" or "decided to leave it, to stop it" could mean anything but "buhuuuu".
Nor could I find anywhere where Steve/CDR said that he would stop coding on FD or that FD was "stoped" in any way.
In case you havent noticed, projects do tend to slow down over time.
Personally I see mostly good things from going open source, the only thing that worries me a bit is how it would be done.
Just releasing the source would probably result in a million different versions of FD all with their own gimmicks and features.
If Steve wants to release his code to the "inner circle" then that's just fine, then we'll have a small group that is "responsible" for the future releases.
The third option is to make a sourceforge project of it.
