damn speed cams!!!argh
ive been pulling my hair out trying to import speedcams, ive downloaded the database from http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafetycameras.php and i used the destinator version. that didnt work so i edited the file in excel and that still ddid work, i then used one that i used in MM and that didnt work!!
im going to cry
I had the same trouble. I'll send you a copy of the speedcam file that worked for me later this evening if you like. Catch me on MSN :)
If you open the CSV file that is in your Freedrive directory already you'll notice that the columns are in a different order to the one from pocketgpsworld.com.
There is a column that isn't required as it just contains a reference to pocketgps.com. There may also be a column title bar at the top to remove.
It should import ok then.
Not working for me too
I to am having this probem. I have tried both Speed camea files on this post but to no avail. They both come up with a ddl error when I load freedrive. ayone any ideas or have a file that worked for them with this problem. :rtfm: :rtfm: :rtfm: :rtfm:
done it, open it up in excel and move the GATSO colum to the end, the Long and Lat columns go first
edit: iva atcched the latest speed cam database for the UK in the right format for FD
I just downloaded the one from CDR's site and it installed perfectly.
Pocketgps.co.uk regularly updates their files. Not saying CDR doesn't but he's probably just doing the same thing with the same file
yeah the speedcam files are from pocketgps with the first line removed in excel
CDR, I wanted to ask you something... would it be possible to add/be notified of speedcams in areas that dont have maps? It would be tremendously useful for me...
I often travel outside of the map coverage area for my main city (there are no maps for the beach cities for example) and I'd really like to add cameras from that area, and be notified, even though there is no routing/mapping.
Is it possible to just use the GPS coordinates without map? does this work already? (I didnt have a chance to test it) but unless you really depend on the maps, it should be possible, no?
PS: can you check this out plz... http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...181#post640181
