Fuel consuption request

I know it's kind of odd but I think it can be made, not very accurate but possible...

for those who have no trip computer to show the fuel consuption it would be nice to implement such a feature in FD..I was thinking of an external app in which we could introduce the liters in the tank and then It would calculate an average consuption related to the average speed it would read from the gps...

example: one fills the tank with 30L of gasoline, resets the counter in the program...then the program reads the average speed, makes a table, when the 30L of fuel end one stops the program...if that was done a couple of times then an average related with the speed could me made and no more readings were necessary from then on...only the average speed...then the FD could display current speed, top speed, average speed and average fuel consuption...on the fly...

I hope you understand...I know it can be done...not sure if it is too hard..(I know that many of you won't have a use for it...but some may find it usefull)

I don't think that would be very accurate at all. Getting your average consumptions at various speeds from a calculation spaced out over a full tank of gas would make the data worthless... especially when you consider that going a certain speed UP a steep hill would use a very different amount of gas than it would if you were going DOWN the hill... it depends on speed, yes, but also engine load, and how you drive it. and if the calculation isn't accurate, then it wouldn't be any better than just knowing your car's average fuel consumption for mostly highway driving, and mostly city driving.

yes...I know it wouldn't be that accurate...but some people may find it useful..I wouldn't because I already know how much my car drinks but it was just an idea that came to my mind
