Hmm I tried that but it didn't seem to work, I probably missed some option, I'll try again Is there anywhere else where I should change the resolution, besides the [size] line in the ini file?

nm I figured it out, I forgot to change the resolution in the settings.ini file

I'm have the same problem
I can't seem to get the map to go all the way to the bottom. I tried setting the "map size" tab in the skin.ini file but nothing happens
Are you refering to the tag"size" in the settings.ini file ?

The mapsize should be in the skin.ini, not the settings.ini :

#MAP left,top,width,height
map=0,0,640,460

I tried that one also but cannot seem to enlarge the map. there is always a black band along the bottom of my screen.

Hmm, as far as I know that is what should control the mapsize.
Does changing the size tag in settings.ini make any difference?
(I used that to make my skin the right resolution:

#size left,top,width,height in pixels
size=-0,0,640,530

)

The "size" setting in the setting.ini file depends on the setting of the "savesize" option in the same file. If the "savesize" option is set to "1" then the "size" setting automatically gets set to the size of the window that embeds FD. So actually there is no need to set the size manually. It will auto-set itself the first time the FD window is embeded.
What I have not tried is to set this option "Savesize" to "0".

I've defined the sizes manually because I kept getting misalignments when using savesize=1. After I manually put in the size and set savesize=0 the misaligning was gone.
