Just installed FreeDrive 1.0 Preview on my CarPC:
Woaa cool tool man! Looks very good and its much better to use than MapMonkey, especially the OSK!
But i had some problems:
Got an error everytime i try to search for an address, click on "+fav" and enter "HOME", then "add" and i see this:
The other thing was, that after i hide the UI of FreeDrive with the little button on the top left corner, i cannot unhide the interface anymore. The button moves upwards and outside the FreeDrive window. I think this comes from my setting to leave 43 pixels on the top for the carpc software bar:
Then, i don't know if thats intendet, but if i'm in address mode and click one of the big arrows up or down on the right side, the selection "jumps" several entries. I cannot move down only on entry at a time. EDIT: Never mind. I recognised the little gray sections on the arrows on my home pc Good idea!
A small suggestion at the end: Would it be possible to "cache" all the work of generating and loading forms on the start of FreeDrive, so that loading up would be faster?
The toolbar is from a very good carpc software from germany called CES.
I set the toolbar "floating" so it does not reserve/register any space on the screen.
With this setting the window of FreeDrive positions itself fine:
But i get the problem with the hidden "unhide-button". Would that be different if FD will fit itself under the toolbar??Code:#size left, top, width, height in pixels size= 0, 43, 800, 557
O-ooo... Big problem!
Since i installed Freedrive MapMonkey and FreeDrive cannot route to any destination anymore! If i click "Navigate" in MapMonkey or "Go" in FreeDrive i get back to the map but nothing else happens! No blue route is marked, no "drive carefully", no ETA, just nothing!!
Even copying back the dest_dll.dll from before the FD installation didn't changed anything.
What did the installation of FreeDrive change that Destinator isn't able to route anymore??
BTW: When will the Forums on freedrive.co.uk get fixed??
Prefect, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
Looking into the forums issues at the moment, will post once sorted again.
@Gobby: Gooood! :-)
BTW: The routing-problem is solved for me now. I had to re-select the map i was using. Weird, but it worked!
Biggest problem now is still the "hidden" show-UI button on a smaller FD window.
