Any chance you can add a volume mapping string to the .ini file Skull? I just tried using FreeIce for the first time and it doesn't work with the Kx drivers. I had this same problem with RR at first until I mapped the sound volume control in the rr.ini file. Seems that the Kx drivers confuse the Windows XP mixer a bit, and FI as well.
Other than that, it looks awesome. I just can't use it without volume control and want to retain the time alignment I gain from using the Kx drivers.
Also, any change you can add a Xposition, Yposition like RR has. I like it because my dash trim slightly overlaps my TS and I used a resolution of 640x460 on RR with a Yposition of 10 to center RR in the LCD on the aforementioned resolution.

Hi fella, think the code is fine to be honest, no one else seems to be having any problems. Does it do the same in roadrunner by any chance ?

Sorry if that post sounded... presumptious. Only trying to be helpful...
Road Runner runs just fine. No problems with browsing at all. No problems with Japanese language support.
I can replicate this on two different machines with two very different builds of XP Pro. Both are clean installs that I've only installed Road Runner (and necessary bits like Winamp) and FreeIce. One is my CarPC on the test bench... English XP Pro with East Asian Language support... the other is a corporate laptop test machine... English XP Pro with Multi-Language User Interface (MUI) for Japanese and corporate security settings.
With the file formats being properly recognized and everything else working fine, I sure as hell do think that this browsing issue is weird.
just wondering if the icons appear in the weather page at all ? I was having problems myself on a fresh install because I forgot to upgrade the flash.. if theres no icons then you need to update your flash through internet explorer.

1.6 version now out :-)
1.6 already? Thank god you don't work for Microsoft, we'd have a new operating system every month![]()
Skully,
Any initiative to add coverflow to FreeICE?
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-p...11-8-07-a.html
Given how FreeICE already is flash and runs an iphone-ish style interface, I think coverflow would compliment it nicely.
Not sure how much work it would be though as coverflow is a RR plug in............
Cheers
