FreeICE v1 Frontend New Version out..

Any chance of you adding multi-language (DBCS) support/compatibility? This is one of my big issues that I have been having with front ends... I have many Japanese mp3's...

ver 1.3 seems to be working fine on both my test PC (laptop) and my CarPC. Can't wait to see more of this.

OH... are you only going to have play/pause and no "stop" button for Media playback?

Hi m8, nothing is planned for the near future. I want to make sure its all stable and all the bits I want to add are added. Then I will have some spare times for requests..

I'm working on 1.5 version at the mo.. adding a weather page :-) , still loads of work to do on it but will be finished and released before the weekend I hope.

No problem. Adding in too much stuff before you even get the core functionalty done just makes a mess of things...

The only other thing to note for the future besides DBCS support would be Car2PC adapter support.
The interface functionality is slick and setup simple. Looking forward to you finishing this up.

1.4 is running super smooth! faster music loading for me.
How do i switch background? i tried messing with the skin file but it doesnt make any difference?

to set the background, go into pics.. click background. Click on a background image so it appears full screen. Theres a icon then in the right lower corner, just press this :-)

There are afew other bits on this skin thats hidden I will be doing a video soon.

Hello,

Wanted to say thanks this FE is comming along GREAT.

Is there any way to play .rm files I have the correct codecs and am able to play them in windows media player. I have also added rm to the "supportedformats" in the .fi.ini, but am unable see the .rm files when I browse the folder in FI.

Hi m8, just try added a ; after and see what happens.. also you could try putting a space after it also so.. rm ;

Finishing off weather tonight and tomorrow night, looking at doing a release this weekend :-)

not got any idea about sirius m8 as we dont have it this side of the pond. Once I have put everything I want into FreeICE I will have some time then to have a look to see how easy it would be to integrate.
