I'll be waiting for the Centrafuse DAB unit then. Hopefully the ADS stick can be made to work in Win7/FI2 for the meantime.

My replacment FCC cable for my screen was delivered today. Beta 5 will likely cause critical mass and the install in the car will
begin.

I swore I wouldn't do another install you know. LoL!

lol.. so did I! I've even had a few years break and then look what happened, but do you know what! It will be different this time.. lol My screen is installed now and I'm just waiting on my mini amp to appear.

If you can find a working DLL for your ADS stick then I will code it in, even if it's different for the Silabs one. It would only take a night to do.

I did alot of bug fixing on Alpha 5 last night and sorted out a few problems that I've seen posted. It's just a case of add a couple of tiny things and make sure it's packaged up correctly for release. Either late tonight or tomorrow I'm hoping. Sadly the settings screen hasnt made it into this next release but I've gone OTT on all the changes.. lol

I dont know how long is the wait though. I only saw it in a german forum and apparently centrafuse.de have removed the item so it is probably not ready yet. Realtek based DAB USB stick look decent. I dont know how well it work but I heard good results from other people. They are cheap, ready made, I think you can get one for £15 from ebay. Down side is there is no plugin for it yet, a member in here has the SDK so steve could probably get it working on his frontend.

I think its pretty pointless spending too much time on silab chip now if there is a better stick out there that can do DAB+ as well as TV cheap.

The picture of the back of the packaging says Realtek 2832U.

I was gonna get one a while ago but have been putting it off as I wasnt sure if it does have the realtek chip inside. As far as I know the realtek is only used as the decoder so it would need an RF chip to receive the signal. There is one reference design which claimed to be as as good as the Venice. So Im hoping that these cheap stick is using a good RF chip.

If its perform well for its price its gonna be the best solution out there. TV part is the bonus but it would be cool getting that to work too.

The listing is abit confusing. The title says it support DAB+ and TV. I do know realtek does support DAB+

But there is no mention of DAB+ on the actual listing or on the package? My impression is the SW supplied doesnt support DAB, only the TV? hmm

Ok according to this forum it doesnt support DAB at all, only TV.

I've ordered one of those I posted a link to so will see what I end up getting @ only £10 it's a throw away one if I cant get it working :-)

Just bought one as well. From what I understand it does support DAB and the only reason why it wouldnt is because the SW is old. Total media have been updated to support DAB now so it should be fine. If else fail I think vivaradio can be used, well it was for dabby and dabby use the realtek chip. We will see, I bought it for kick really lol.
