RELEASE - FreeICE v2 Alpha 6.1

Everything still running smooth except two probs,... well maybe one. The weather glitch is probably by design,...I think?

When clicking/tapping on shuffle icon button, "FreeIce" locks up for about 30 seconds or so, and visuals freeze also. Then the shuffle icon then turns red, and then I can finally go back to main screen.

I'm aware of the very slow random number generator and will have a look at using a different method v.soon. The weather icon is pulled directly from google weather and I dont have any control of this at all :-(

ok had 5 mins and fixed the random number (shuffle).. it's now a billion times quicker.. instant infact :-)

Hi fella,

ok.. Alpha 6 will being

DAB compatibility (hopefully)
Fixed Random shuffle pause
Fixed GPS border-less Embedding
Settings screen (hopefully)
A few more widgets I've been saving up

I don't want to add that much this time as I would like the release to come within a week rather the wait between 4 and 5

I will be accepting requests soon :-)

Oh well, I was thinking on the same lines too. Not a deal breaker for me.

i have at least 1 main request, a feature which was included in FIv1 and another which would look sweet. but more on that later when the time comes..

tested quickly in the car last night, all works fine so far, more to come after a few days.

How do I add support for new media extensions?
I am looking to add support for RMVB and FLV

desordeiro, just go in your "settings.ini" and ad to the line mediafiletypes=

*.flv,*.rmvb

to the list. Make sure you add ,* like shown.

Hi desordeiro,

Yes as RAWPWR has said, you just need to add the file extension in the settings.ini. You might need to install a codec if your missing it. Please let me know if it works and I will add them to the release so yo uwont have to do it again when upgrading.
