I really love the work you're doing on your front-end. Do you have any plans to incorporate a library at some point?

It is something that I have thought about.. let me get to a stable release and I will then take a look.

I can't ask for more than that. Thanks, Steve. A library function would put your software at the top of the heap!

ive been using your previous freeice for over 4 years now and LOVE IT. i was about to buy centrafuse until i saw the new update. So i downloaded it and notice that it doesnt support embedding. my main concerns is that i can get a frontend with dashcam. is there anyway you can embed Curiosity Minicam to the new freeice?

thanks so much btw for providing us with freeice all these years.

    Hi Kevin,

Yes I do intend to include embedded apps soon, I just want to get all the current bugs worked out first so I have something stable to build on. I'm hoping Alpha 7 will do this then I can get on and start adding more.

Thanks for your comments.. If the minicam is just like a webcam then it shouldn't be difficult at all to grab the image and have an option to record from it. I will have a look into this soon for you.

is there anyway we can have the option of having the feed from the camera show on the visualization instead of having the windows media visualizations?

Even better, this may be able to be added as a widget on the home screen.. A plugin of some sort??!?

    Anythings possible.

I want to add a Webcam app into it anyway, so you just plug a camera in and if you want you can record or just use it as a reverse camera. I spent my dinner coding in the option of embedding apps also :-) so that will be in Version alpha 7.

lots more to come.. Alpha 7 should be out this weekend, maybe sooner than you think!
