GPS new format explained

Freeice now excepts window name or class name starting with !

gps=Destinator,C:\Destinator\Destinator.exe
or
gps=!CDP_FIELD_WIND,C:\GarminMobilePC\Que.exe

this new format also allows Iguidence to be used for our USA friends

Album Art changes

1st looks for embeded art, if not found then looks at your music folder for folder.jpg,
if not found a noimage.jpg shown

Onstart cmd

This is fired on freeice start,
this will allow you to start any app on start of freeice, path to exe needed, edit line in settings.ini in root.

Plugin Manager

plugin Manager can be found in the settings screen ,, very very simple ,, the plugin is either on or off
depending on last state of plugin ,, freeice will always start up useing this state until changed.
ie. wifi plugin off,,, on restart wifi plugin will still be off, until switched on

fifuelprices plugin

As there has been some changes to all the plugins , for plugin manager to work, this plugin at this present
time will not work under alpha 13,, please stay on alpha 12 if you wish to continue useing this plugin.
Enforcer will inform everyone when he has updated the plugin..

I have a question, How hard would it be to implement Hands free Cell phone use? (i got the 330$ andrea da-350 waiting to be used!)

I just installed this a few days ago and love the swipe to different screens. I need a change from Riderunner as it's just a pain in the arse anymore and it's as if any good skin development has stopped on it or hasn't changed in at least a year since I last looked. I've narrowed things down to this or Centrafuse. I'd rather not plunk down a hefty chunk of change for something I won't use everyday either. The only problem I think I have with FreeICE is that it doesn't seem to want to embed the GPS applications correctly. Destinator 9 is in the background, but it never comes forward. Same with Garmin. '

Also - I didn't find it while I searched, but what version of Garmin is required? If it's 5.7 then it's useless as it does nothing but randomly crash.

GPS embedment has been improved alot in the next release ,, as for phone ,, something may come along , but for now still aimming at gettings basics in place and solid....

Just for s&g's I installed the alpha 13 and came across quite a few hiccups I'm sure you already know about. But the GPS embedding didn't seem to be a whole lot better. I could get Garmin to fit in the screen, but that was about it - when leaving garmin and then going back to navigation it's not there anymore, but it's running in the background if you minimize freeICE. Same seems to happen with Sygic and Destinator. I'm waiting on my dash pieces to cure so if you need someone to throw code changes at I'm available.

Yeah i understand that. It does have quiet a few bugs, but overall its a great front end!! I wish i had a faster MB to run this program in my car... It gets a bit sluggish on a 1.5ghz single core proc.

If the gps would embed better I'd use this full time. I don't have a problem with speed, I've got a Core2Duo 2.8Ghz 2GB ram and an ION chipset (well, the equivilent).
I'm still messing around with it, but if there are tricks to getting the gps (any of them as I have Garmin, Sygic, and Destinator) to embed and act nice I'm all ears.

Are there debug logs that we can provide as feedback? I think this frontend has real potential - and if there's something else I could do to help along the way I'd do my best.
