Ok now I am totally blown away at the functionality of this software.
Where is it pulling the album art from. This is sweet. RR, CF, MI none of them have this capability as far as I know, I allways had album art I downloaded myself.
    Again, kudos and Hail Oeri..

Thanks a lot... really glad to hear it. Do you have any feature suggestions that could make it even better?

The album art comes from Amazon.com. I really like this feature, too, and I know it won't be used by some people who don't have Internet connections in their car, but I plan on making the library exportable to a USB drive or memory card that can then be taken to a home computer to have the album art downloaded and transferred back to the car PC.

agreed - thats a kickass idea. I dont have a net connection in the car, so this would be great for me!

I know its been mentioned before but what are your current thoughts on Freedrive support? Anything we can contribute to help you out with that??

Freeway is coming on great however could you not use something like mediaplayer classic for the video portion. I have some specialist CCTV video codecs on my machine which will play in mediaplayer or mediaplayer classic (using a VFW filter) but for some reason winamp will not play them.

I also second the call for having freedrive support it is very common here in the the UK

Keep up the insane development pace, how you arent burnt out yet I will never know

How does RR do FreeDrive support? FreeDrive isn't as easily resized to fit different screen resolutions like iGuidance. I'm still looking for solutions as far as integrating FreeDrive support.

I assume you meant to ask if I could (instead of could not) use something like Media Player classic for the video. Give in_mplayer.dll (Winamp plugin) a look and let me know if that works for you... http://inmplayer.sourceforge.net/

Not too sure, either. Most of my projects don't make it over a week.

Thats mplayer the linux player however my issue is winamp does not seem to use all VFW codecs installed on a PC like mplayerclassic or even windows media player. Its probably not something you can do anything about.

    Thanks for the link though.

The source code for freedrive is available at www.freedrive.co.uk maybe its easier to produce a Freeway specific build with 2 screen sizes for use (embedded in the play window and fulscreen)

I`m sure CDRskull would give permission if asked nicely

    Feature Request

One feature I really miss is being able to run external apps. Besides that I would consider this a pretty well packaged setup.

That and embedding them is necessity.

Mplayer is not only for Linux. There's a Windows port, too, which I linked you to. The reason I did this was to give you a chance to see if it supported the codecs you're trying to use.
