woh.... you make this look like childsplay

& blk02, I'm following your cf install, but I always wondered about what you just said... after you compile the build & install, what do you do about frontend updates & stuff?

    New Test Build

    Changes today
    ====================

    - Picture album
    - Volume support
    - Videos play sequentially in the same folder
    - Video window shows folders
    - One click on video raises video, second shows list
    - Various INI options
    - Various bug fixes

I am aware of the bug that screws up the library when you delete a file previously in the library and then refresh the library.

http://www2.onu.edu/~m-keryeski/ccfru.zip ... follow instructions as in previous posts.

Wow! this is going in the car right now! [runs for usb stick]

Amazing... really quick! I love the new video functionality with the folders and also the way the video shows when you cilck video! working perfect for me!

Basically this is ready for in-car use I guess... the only thing I can say is missing is Resuming from where you left off (this entails volume, screen, media that was playing be it audio or video, and also the audio playlist mode you were in - in my case I will use mostly File Browsing)... Resuming is especially useful to me cause I dont use hibernate due to a problem on the soundcard... I shutdown everytime, so whenever it starts I need to choose some media

Anyways, I'm going to use this in-car today and let you know how it works out!

PS: when skinning, am I able to make "File Browser" mode appear when I click the "speaker" button? (i.e. as an item in the list such as Browse All Songs, Browse Files, Browse Artists, etc?) That way it is a bit more simple imho, then having to go to the headphone icon (which doesnt mean much, does it?)

Wow... congratulations... this is shaping up perfectly!

Your Link is working RoyN. Maybe oeri's link doesn't work because he posted it at 4:30 am lol. I have those kinda night every so often.

Oeri - You are amazing at programming. This build is stable enough for car use. I've been using it hard for an hour or so without any crashes. Video code is awesome! I really like what you've done with it, how you can switch screen and have it still playing in the back round, genius!. GPS fast and stable. Music fast and stable although i am still getting 2999 songs max added to the library. Volume control works fantastic. The picture browser is also HOT! Nice work on everything you should be proud of this project. Hail to C# code!

Just a suggestion, don't know how hard this would be to impement, one of the blank buttons on the home sceen could be a 'config' menu that will modify the freeway.ini. Kind of like a GUI based config menu for the file paths. I have no problem with modifying the .ini's with a notepad but your going to run out of things to program if you keep this development speed up!

    Have a good thanksgiving everyone!

Well, I don't think it's ready at all for in-car use, but let me know how it goes. I will add the resuming functionality right now and post a build tonight.

Yes. Take a look at the skin.ini file in the skins\default folder. The speaker icon is the mute button. Search for mute in the main window (the first search result would be the DVD window, which does not exist in this version, so you'll need to find the second instance). Change "mute" to "spawn filesmusic" (a space after spawn, not a tab), and you'll be good to go. And no, the headphone icon doesn't mean anything. It was used in the VB version for playlist management, which I think I might do away with completely. I will have to find a new graphic for it.

oeri's link wasn't working because he spelled "ccfru" as "ccRFu". Sorry -- rushed the build at 4:30 am!

Thanks, this is great to hear. About the 2999 songs -- could you do this for me? Go to start > run, type in "cmd" to get to your command prompt. In the command prompt, type this in exactly as shown (with all the quotes, etc., except replace with your music path):

    Code:
    dir /s "c:\your music path" > "%homedrive%%homepath%\desktop\out.txt"
This will index all the files in your music path, and I can try and see what the problem is with populating the library. Zip up the "out.txt" file it creates on your desktop and upload it as an attachment to a post in this thread.

This is something I never quite got around to doing in the VB version, but I will start work on it shortly.

    Thanks everyone for your support.

Here is the out text file you are looking for. I finally got a bug to surface ater 2 hours, it happened after listening to a few albums then hitting the "random' button. But i was able to hit "continue" on the crash window and freeway remained up and stable. Also another nice addition wouls be a minimize to desktop button like the previous freeway.

Again thanks for your hardwork Oeri
