    oeri,

Almost wondered if you were going to give up on this. Great to see you still working hard at it. What I have in my entertainment system is like 280Gigs of mp3's About 54,000 mp3's Loaded on my 400 gig drive . It is directory based ie <drive>/a/ACDC/Live/<song> Etc. If you want i can run your algorythm on it to see how fast it is.

    Keep up the good work.

    p.s. Isn't C# part of Windows.NET framework? I thought everyone hated .NET?

Nope ... I have just been busy with school.

I would appreciate that -- thanks

Yes, it is. I wasn't too fond of it, but it's growing on me. I still think the libraries are a little bloated, but I really have no other choice in languages at this point. C# seems to be slowly becoming the standard.

The new version still gave me the refresh issue (I guess you say you fixed it above), and I still have the problem with the GPS not embedding properly, and not showing up again when I go say from GPS to Video, then to GPS again... FD is hidden, and I only see a globe picture where the map is supposed to be...

On another note, I have 1 or 2 suggestions that might make operation a bit easier. what do you think?

    a) Instead of pressing the "eye" button to toggle video/video list, wouldnt it be a bit easier to just press the "Videos" button? That way, if a video is playing, and you go into video, it will show the video playing, press Videos again and it shows video list. That way we dont need to guess when a video is playing and press the Eye button, or if it is just a live song from a concert or whatever...

option b) (I think this is even better), have a thumbnail video playing on the Videos screen, as well as the main screen, where the cover art is... Clicking on the thumbnail (in the home or video screeen) will take you to full screen.

A few questions: - Is it in purpose that the videos play only one at a time? Is there a way for it to continue playing the next video when the previous one is finished? Ditto for audio...

Everything it going great so far! this seems the most promising FE for my needs so far... Audio/Video/GPS, stable, quick... all I need

If I do not let it connect to the internet (my firewall asks me each time), it crashes while attempting to look up the album art. Also, art is correct on the home screen, but never changes from the default (no art) on the music screen.

I like RoyN's idea of clicking the "Video" button again, instead of the eye. Maybe something like:

    1st click -> 2nd click -> 3rd click
video list -> view video -> full screen video
    Code:
    On event "click 'VIDEO' button"
If "video selection screen" is active:
    		Then: Goto "video viewer screen"
    		Else:
If "video viewer screen" is active:
    				Then Goto "full screen video"
    				Else:
    					Goto "video selection screen"

On event "click full screen video"
    	Goto: "video viewer screen"

    On event "click 'GPS' button"
    	If "gps screen" is active:
    		Then: Goto "full screen gps"
    		Else: Goto "gps screen"
    But just a sugestion.

(also still getting the empty parameter error, but sounds like your all over that)

Keep up the hard work Oeri! I offically switched to freeway build 129 for my new embedded OS install. It works fine for what I do. I cannot wait untill this C# build is more stable. I love mplayer. Winamp had its time and place but its time to move on. Your alpha 129 build works great for now though. I look foward to helping you with the development of ccfw.

Thanks for all the help, guys. Please test this for (1) the library crashing bug, and (2) also file browsing. To see a list of the files in your media folder and to browse to other folders, go to Music > The library icon > then the play button with headphones. The window with the file list should pop up and you can try to play files without them being in your library first.

Also, for those with FreeDrive problems, have a look.

Any reports on the OGG/M4A tag reader?

    Hi oeri,
this time library refresh went great with my 1700 mp3 files. One suggestion tough; at start there are some files named '-'. I assume that these are the ones that have empty tag. Maybe you could put filename instead of '-'?

File browser in music works OK so far. On home screen seems like there are text over text so I can't read anything. (Like it doesn't erase the old text).

Hmm and I got an error when playing music file from file browser and pressing Quit.

I don't have GPS to test, but otherwise works great.
